Claire Danes: not terminated

I watched a little bit of that movie, Terminator 3 because the guys were watching it. It seemed to have a lot of action sequences and that chick from My So Called Life...which I love! The movie itself looked pretty funny and silly, plus I guess Judgement Day actually happens. I really have no desire to suspend my disbeleif for that type of film, but it was funny to see the governor of California get slammed into the front of a fire engine...and later to see him shoot a missile at a lady. In case you didn't know, the new "bad" terminator is a lady.

[livejournal.com profile] psychswitch was supposed to call me to hang out, but as yet I have not heard from him. Tomorrow is my first of what I hope will be many voice over assignments with [livejournal.com profile] madush69 for his new gig. What I really need to do is update my radio resume and make a decent tape. I should have done this awhile ago, but I kept waiting for my job to become challenging and meanningful. My HHB kept saying I'd get my raise and have more responsilbility, but none of that has really happened yet.

I still need to see The Cooler, which I thought about doing today. But methinks a quiet evening at home sounds much better. H is buying me dinner from San fu. Mmmmm...San fu...

There was supposed to be a new Simpsons on tonight, but for some reason FOX is showing Independence Day for the 5 zillionth time. FOX only has one ngith where they show TV for intelligent people, and they keep pre-empting it with stupid sports and sub-par films. How annoying is THAT?

It's a tactical move. Fox figures the major viewing audience will be watching the Superbowl, so they hold a first-run episode of The Simpsons and the rest of their Sunday line up for another day. Most of the ad dollars are also focused on the Superbowl, so no one's really going to sponsor anything new and different on another network -- unless it fit in the Half-Time slot.

Yeah, that makes sense logically. I just think FOX treats thier Sunday night fans pretty poorly.
