Excellent Shift at work, we were very busy but rose to the occasion nicely. and of course that big salad put me in a fine mood. Surely, this diets ass hurts from my kicking it! I don't want to be one of those wierdo dieters that talks incessantly about food...but damn! I can still have some sherbet, and a granola bar in case I get hungry after i smoke this weed.

Had to wait over an hour for a cab, and in so doing had the opportunity to talk to Sherry, another borderline nemesis of mine. She is sort of going to be my boss, and I complain about her a great deal.
But as a person, I must say i feel for her. She thinks many of us "hate" her, which is not really true. i swear, I don't know what I'd do if i thought my co-workers all hated me; especially in a place like Mastone where there is so much social intermingling (get that kids, I said intermingling...like sex--but not sex). Anyway, she'd been in the bar for awhile and was feeling rather jovial. I won't spill her secrets here, but I know some now, and they are good ones!

I'm also worried about one of us. I can't really say who or why but it looks like someone is making the kind of mistakes that no one else can help them with. I sure hope he ends up okay, because he is an awfully neat guy.

Speaking of neat guys, My Hot Hot Boss worked a double today, so i got to see him all night. Well, not the good kind of all night, but the work kind. He's so swell. I'm thinking of buying an island to live on with him. I was going to buy one for this other guy I used to like a long time ago, but who wants to share an island with a guy who talks like Superman? He saw Big fish tonight too, but didn't appear to be weeping like a little sissy girl when he left. But that is the common reaction. Myself, I was more moved by the romatic stuff...

That show is tops. I probably say this a lot, but I love those Masterson kids. If they were 10 years older, I'd get them drunk and bring them home. Oh and hey, what's a good educational gift for a 12 year old boy? That's too early for a bong isn't it?

Kidding!
Kidding, jeez lighten up...

Yes, but its never too early for a nice botany or chemistry set. :D

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2004-01-10 12:23 am (UTC)(link)
That's true.

his mom laughed when i said I wanted to get him something educational. She says: "yeah, just what every kid wants"...like his gift is going to suck if i don't dish out $50 for a damn video game. So I'm determined to get him an educational gift that doesn't suck. too bad they don't have Sea Monkeys at kayBee.

BTW, your icon is excellent!

Educational...that's tough. Hell, if anyone can come up with something good it'll be you. It's funny though, if this is the same kid I think it is, he asked after hearing mention on TV, "Dad, what's a bong?" So I told him.

If you're talking about the neat guy that I think you are talking about, I was a little worried too b/c when I got out of Big Fish last night, he was walking around outside in his crew t-shirt. It was like 10 degrees!

I thought about going to Toys R Us to get the deluxe Sea Monkey kit. I thought those were way cool as a kid.

But they have alot of cool spy gear there as well.

Yes I am. He seems better today, many of us were quite worried, but we're thinking its okay now.

It's really hard to avoid talking about food, when you've suddenly started to notice the role that it plays in your life. It's like we barely think about how much we eat, or what we eat, until we have to pay attention to it.

That and: If the Masterson kids are Hyde and Francis on "Malcolm in the Middle," I'm more than willing to share them with you. Especially the older, blonder one. Yum.

Yep, that's them.

SeaMonkeys. Seamonkeys rock! I have a tank of them on my desk at work.
