The Barefoot Town:
Saw that movie Big Fish. Did not affect me as strongly as those friends of mine with families, Dads and whatnot. But a very fun and good film just the same. I think you shoudl all see it, as there are things that will affect every person with a life on some kind of emotional level. And I think it is probably Tim Burtons best film ever, and i say that as a MAJOR Pee Wees Big Adventure fan. And that chick who plays the young Mom of Billy Crudup looks astonishingly like Kirsten Dunst, and I'd know, because I finally saw the Spiderman 2 trailer on the big screen. (THAT, my freinds, is a damn fine trailer, BTW)
But my point is, I want to live in the barefoot town, I think. In fact, it seems that i have gone out of my way to try my damndest to make my home the barefoot town. And he is right, it would be a nice place to end up...but you miss a great deal if you get there too early. So maybe I shouldn't be living there just yet. But I do plan to retire there or open a small shop, you get the idea.
As it happens, the opening date for the film 9/11 has been pushed back yet again. That is why my beloved madstone is saddled with Chasing Liberty, and why I have to be civil to teenagers. Though hardly any teens are memebers, so i'll probably only have to talk to the ones who can't find the bathroom, or read the number on their ticket.
