Me and my TV

As it happens, I didn't leave the house all day yet again. My ex-crush came over and annoyed the hell out of me for over 3 hours. I really must learn to be more proactive about getting people the heck out of my home.

I really need to get an excersize bike. Anyone out there have one they want to sell me?

They are re-runing Dead Zone from the beginning. I wonder if that means the new season will start soon. I know filming got delayed because of Anthony Michael Hall having to take some mental health time. As a fellow bi-polar, that's fine by me. But USA networks was not so cool about it. I think they tried to sue him, but I'm not sure how that all came out.

I found out today that my dear friend Grete, whom I speak to far too seldom is back online. Her jerk-bag of a boyfriend finally hooked them up with a cable modem. Now all he needs is a conscience (like that cricket with the hat), communication skills, a maturity level commensurate with his age, and a soul. But it will be nice to see her around once more. She is a great chick, if slightly too forgiving to the undeserved.

As for the TV, she is serving up the love. Godfather and Night of the Living Dead are both having late night showings tonight. There is a new ep of Animal Cops Miami--a pretty good show but heavy on the bikini girl shots. And Nat'l Geo is serving up 3 hours of shark related programming. Too bad almost, since I was going to watch that Cannibal movie I still havent' seen. if i don't watch it tonight, I don't know when I'll get around to it. Tomorrow night is Big Fish, at long long last.

Seriously, I bet one of you local types knows where there's an excersize bike no one uses that you can sell cheap. Or are you to intimidated by the thought of a slender, sexier Wednes...
...don't HATE me because I'm soon to be more beautiful.

i'm intimidated by the future, new (but not improved!) slender, sexier wednes!

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2004-01-07 11:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh I won't...its true, you are cute as a cupcake.
Almost annoyingly so.

It kind of helps that you and the BF dont' "act" cute together.

hmm ...i've been called "annoyingly cute" before...

the bf and i could "act" all cute just to get people out of your apartment sooner at parties
i'll call him things like "smooshy-sugar-boo", kiss him on the nose, and we'll dress in matching tweed outfits :-P that'll clear everyone out... or make them throw up.

Actually, we had a matching PJ couple at the NYE party. it's too bad you weren't there.

my family has an exercise bike that they're taking back because the bearings already wore out after only a month...I don't think you want that one!...

I didn't realize Anthony Michael Hall was bipolar...that's not something someone should be sued over...I wish the world was more accommodating/respectful of mental illness...I think it certainly can be in this case, but that's just my opinion...

I don't know about the exercise bike. As someone who loves biking as much as I do, I don't think they are as gratifying as everyone thinks. First of all, you have to ride them a lot. We're talking over 20 minutes is a similar amount of exercise to about 5 minutes of good walking, and 5 minutes of good walking isn't anything. That's for calorie burning, not aerobic training.

Doing a mile or two on a bike isn't too difficult. What many people don't realize is that to get good benefit out of biking, you have to put miles and miles on a bike. When I was the most out pf shape in my life, I had to get myself into cardiovascular shape before I could lose any weight biking. So I had to go out and ride for 15-20mi just to get my body ready for long distances. It took a couple of weeks as well to accomplish that. Then I could start biking to lose weight. Sure, it had a postiive impact from the beginning, but it is a slow process, and you have to go miles and miles before it starts to make a difference.

You have to ride for time, not distance, so riding for 40minutes at about 60rpm, will make a difference in time. That's not casual pedaling either.

Aparently he did not disclose his "condition" before he was hired, and now its affecting shooting. My understanding is that by law, an employer can't ask such questions, and one is by no means required to disclose mental illnesses if one is under a doctors care.

Actually, I used to have an EB at my parents place, i used to ride and watch TV, which is far better for me than just plain watching TV. Honestly, I'm not going to be walking around outside until the weather is better.

Thanks for the link.

If i can't find a cheap bike, I'll probably reward myself with one once I reach 10% of my goal. WW reccomends rewarding ourselves.

If you find a way to kick annoying people out of your home....please GOD PLEASE let me know how!

I usually yawn and talk about how early I have to get up the next day. But annoying people, but virtue of thier annoyance, don't seem to take the hint.
