Headline: Promise of New Family Guy Episodes Gives Local Woman Reason to Live:

I can't help but notice that Food Network has shown turkey, stuffing and pie almost exclusively for the entire week. I mean, Good Glavin?!? Are that many people having the same thing for dinner next week? As for us, we had stir fry last year, and potato leek soup the year before that. this year we plan to be thankful with a pot of jambalaya and some jalapeno corn bread. That sounds good as heck to me, anyways...

I'll be working pretty much continuously thru the holiday weekend. We will probably get slaughtered, and it could prove to be a bunch of fun! We have a really good team at the theatre these days, and a good selection of films.

I'm feeling pretty nonplussed about my birthday, as i was trying to post earlier but my post kept disappearing over bad time codes or something...Anyway, I am either depressed at how little I've accomplished the past year; or stoked at how fun the year has been. I don't feel either of my typical birthday emotions this year...i wonder what it could mean. Of course, birthday aren't that important...I mean what are we really saying? "So glad you didn't die this year...here's a card." or "man, i'm so getting you drunk to celebrate another year of lving despite your unhealthy lifestyle."

And in case I'm not jaded enough, Quizilla to the rescue:

MMM jalapeno cornbread.

By the way, thanks for not kicking the big bucket this year. I hope the next one is equally as kicking.

I hope your barf-day is as wonderful as you are! THe 24th right?

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2003-11-21 01:12 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, I'll be 33.

And I don't plan to "barf" as i don't drink alchy-hole anymore.

Welcome to the 33 club. I don't have much time left in it, but we'll be in the same club until Dec. 4th.

"Happy Birthday."

Yeah, I find birthdays depressing, too. But in, say, forty years we'll all be uploaded to computers anyway and age won't matter anymore. Yay!

Huh.

Anyway, I got the cover by Visage. It's all cool and '80s.
