Chemical Warmongers Everywhere!
Today has been a fun filled day of extra sleep, smoking the pot, and taping TV cartoons for multiple veiwings later on. I also got to see that cute baby I like, and eat a tasty sammich with swiss cheese on it. Swiss is, in case you were wondering, my fave sammich cheese.
The news is depressing, which is why I don't watch it. I was talking to a lady at the theatre Saturday who lives in Canada. She says they really dont' lock thier doors, like in the Michael Moore movie. She said it would freak her out if she thought people were wanting to hurt her all the time. And she's never had a problem with leaving her door unlocked.
Coincidentally, I had yet another horrible nightmare last night. I was running around the basement of my grandfathers house (he died 10 years ago...almost exactly come to think of it) trying to find a keepsake of his before they bulldozed the house. And there were rats and bugs everywhere. I was yelling at the bulldozer guys outside, and then all kind of zombies where everywhere. Then i had to think about my grandfather in the ground, which is when I woke up yelling about something. I don't know what because I was alone.
Do most people work out that sort of thing in dreams? If you're dreams are often terrible, does it mean that your brain is figuring things out for you? Maybe its a nessesary tool for growth or something. I should probably get back to seeing my therapist this week.
But for now, time to smoke and tape Once Upon a Weinstien!

Sometimes dreams are nothing but snippets of stuff that goes on in normal daily life (ex, you see someone in your dream that rang you up at the store). Sometimes these snippets are really bad things (ex, the person who cut in front of you in line in real life shoves you in your dream). These are semi-meaningful.
Then, there are dreams with more significant recent things: (ex. 1: you get into a fight with a friend and you dream he/she divorces you on Court TV. Ex. 2: you call the fire department when you see smoke and dream that you're a firefighter)
Also, there are dreams with significant PAST things: (ex. 1 you dream you're little and talking to your best friend of the time ex. 2 you dream about your first pet dying).
Your dream sounded like a combination of those things. You once said that your grandfather kicked ass and you're probably missing him, subconsciously remembering the date of his death. Also, we just pased "The day of the dead" and you may have been looking for a keepsake to honor/respect/remember him. (?).
It's possoible that the house was being bulldozed b/c a)it was in real life and you're rememebring that (I dn't know, I HOPE NOT) or b) you felt like maybe everyone wanted you to get over his death and move on before you were ready. c)OR you feel like people want you to get over things, transist from one thing ending and another beginning faster than you are ready. d) OR you feel you are being "bulldozed"... Walked on. You were yelling at them b/c you're tryin to assert yourself and let them know that you weren't ready and you felt hat they were ignoring you... or not respecting that.
The rats and bugs? I don't know, maybe small things that get in the way of you finding something important to you, things that seem insignificant to others but really, really get to you. You couldn't see them well b/c it was dark (I guess) so maybe you're thinking you're not anticipating these little thigns as well as others.
The Zombies? I'm not sure about that one. I've shared the same fear of zombies for as long as I could remember and I don't nkow why. I saw them in my house when I was little. I see (not with my eyes) walking dead people in my parents' house once in awhile. I wish I could help you with that one.

I'm sure we'll revisit this issue again, as horrible nightmares are par for the course around here...
