I'm predicting a joint-quake!!!

Well, I did not make and keep a therapy appointment for the second week in a row. It must be part of some secret scheme I have to sabotage my every attempt at accomplishing something with my life.

Even though I'm not going to be one of those crazy NaNoWriMo people, I am getting a fair amount of practice writing done lately...besdies LJ and Mad Libs I mean. And I'm working an extra day this week...opening night of The new Matrix thingy. We have it on 3 screens. Sheesh!

And TV was serving up the craziness tonight. Maris being arrested for murder on Frasier; and a cast of zillions of lady-stars-from-decades past on SVU. It was some kinda wild!

Went to the grocery store with H and had to wait over an hour for a damn cab home. But the cab dispatcher assures me that milk will not spoil at room temperature for an hour...

Your milk should be good but if it is curdding when you poor it. DONT DRINK IT! I think you know that though.

WUV SPU!

I might be seeing Matrix at Madstone this week, possibly tonight. :)

I was tres surprised to see Mrs. Partidge and Mariette Hartley on SVU! They both had on a ton of makeup. I used to skip therapy all the time. But then, after I went, I was always glad that I did. (Kind of like exercise. Anticipating it sucks more than doing it and feeling good when it's over.)

what is NaNoWriMo?...I've seen it mentioned on at least four of my friend's pages, but the only thing I've gathered is that it's some kind of writing contest...

for some time now, I've been meaning to get me some of those Mad Libs...I haven't done them in FOREVER...

I used to skip therapy appointments or forget ot make them. I don't think I actually sat down and went "Screw this, I'm not going." Or, "Today I'm gonna finish the laundry, forget to make a therapy appointment and buy kitty food." I had a psych teacher once say that patients forget to make appointments when the therapist starts to make progress. Sometimes, he/she hits a nerve or makes a patient remember/change something. Or, the patient is so frazzled and depressed they have a hard time remembering! I don't know if this is true in your case but I can see it (now) in mine. A few months ago, my therapist made me remember something in graphic detail that I forgot about. After that, it truely slipped my mind to make more apointments.

Say Howdy to me if you do! I'll be at the inside desk!

Yeah, I feel the same way about the therapy. I know I should go, its always good when I do. But sometimes I just can't bring myself to make the effort.

NaNoblah blah is some thing where you pledge to write a specific number of words that are one story in a month, November this time. i don't know if it is always November or what. I guess for those people who need deadlines to puch themselves to write more.

Mad Libs are crazy expensive these days, like $3-4 per book of like, 15 pages. But I love them though.

I can't decide if its me doing it, or if I just suck or what my deal is...but I need to go back. I have too much crap to work out!

[identity profile] abbagirl.livejournal.com 2003-11-07 05:20 am (UTC)(link)
I looked for you, but alas, didn't see ya... :( I was at the 4:30 pm show, though. At that point there seemed to be only guys working. (Hmm, maybe I saw the infamous Hot Hot Boss!! Lol...) I thought about mentioning you to them, then realized I couldn't remember your (real-life) name! Heh. Didn't see ya when I came outta the movie either...sigh.

I came in about 5pm. And for future reference, Wednes is my real life name as well!

and the HHB was there all day, looking Hot as i recall...

[identity profile] abbagirl.livejournal.com 2003-11-09 12:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Wednes is your actual name?? Cool! :) I *think* I may know who the HHB is, then...he seemed older and kinda in charge...

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2003-11-09 04:40 pm (UTC)(link)
yup, and HOT, that's him...
