Have my cable TV back, at long last. Now I have more channels than ever before...stuff I will never even think about watching.

Right now, Dweezil's guitar wants to kill my mama. I don't even remember introducing them...fine by me!

This "high speed" internet thingy is not so much. Kinda fast, but maybe I'll notice it more when I actually start downloading things. Right now it just feels like LJ is having a speedy day.

Here's a test to show you how fast your coable connection is compared to your dialup.

you already have it, but it's a large file.

Now, if you did this through dialup it would take probably about 90minutes rather than 1-2 minutes. That's really fast.

A second thought: The speed of your computer is probably the bottleneck now. It has to process all the info that is coming into it, and you guys have an older computer. If it's really behaving slowly when downloading things, we may look this direction.
