My Boss is a Fucking Asshole!

So I go to the theatre tonight to see The Matrix: Reloaded yet again...

Even thought I liked it, I was not very keen on having to see it again the next day (nor was I keen on spending $24 on cab fare last night). But because Ryan is so swell...I will. All of this goes on because my Big Stupid Boss says we can only bring one person each to the theatre.

I'm further bummed because there are lots of other people I would have loved to bring along: [livejournal.com profile] cepheidus, [livejournal.com profile] lickingtoad, [livejournal.com profile] pak_man78, and [livejournal.com profile] clockworkmonkey to name a few...
But no, I have to be a good kid, and follow the rules.

I notice that one of my co-workers has like, 7 or 8 guests with him. Which I think is very odd, but I assume they aren't there to see M:R. After all, my Big Stupid Boss says we can't do that. I figure they are leaving...

But no. There are more in the theatre already, and when I go outside to inquire as to what the fuck...still more of this guy's buddies come in to see the film. Surely, I think to myself, my boss won't allow this. We'd just talked about it the previous week. And that's when he walked into the theatre with three guests of his own.

I was so mad...I walked out of the theatre ready to quit my job.
But instead of doing that, I slept thru the movie and then went home.

On a completely unrelated topic: PITTSBURGH (AP) - Tommy Chong, who played one half of the dope-smoking duo in Cheech and Chong movies, pleaded guilty in federal court Tuesday to conspiring to sell drug paraphernalia.

Chong also pleaded guilty on behalf of his business, Nice Dreams Enterprises, which made a line of marijuana bongs and pipes. Doing business as Chong Glass, Nice Dreams Enterprises sold glass pipes and bongs that Chong acknowledged were used to smoke marijuana.

Chong's attorneys said he was accepting responsibility, but noted he was careful not to sell to minors.

``This isn't his work. His work is that of a comedian and satirist,'' said attorney Richard G. Hirsch.

After the hearing, Chong said he did not use drugs. ``I don't smoke; I quit,'' he said.

The actor-comedian, who recently had a recurring role on Fox's ``That '70s Show,'' said he planned to return to what he's always done: speaking ``the truth'' in his comedy routines. He was scheduled to appear in Florida on Tuesday night.

Chong said he and Cheech Marin were back together and working on another movie; the two have appeared together in several films, including ``Up in Smoke'' and ``Still Smokin'.'' His plea, he said, would be part of the new film.

Chong's plea came after federal Drug Enforcement Administration agents purchased his paraphernalia and had them shipped to an undercover business. Agents also confiscated his company's paraphernalia during raids of ``head shops'' in numerous states and confiscated ``thousands of marijuana bongs and pipes'' in a raid of his Gardena, Calif., business.

The raids were part of a series by the DEA in which at least 55 people were charged with trafficking in illegal drug paraphernalia. Officials said the investigation targeted the nation's biggest Internet distributors of paraphernalia.

Chong is the first person to plead guilty in the raids, said U.S. Attorney Mary Beth Buchanan.

Chong, 64, was released on recognizance bail, but must undergo drug testing and remain in the U.S. District Court jurisdiction of his Pacific Palisades home except to travel for work and court appearances.

He faces a maximum sentence of three years in prison and a $250,000 fine when he is sentenced Sept. 11. Federal guidelines call for six months to one year incarceration, though Buchanan said the government would not make a recommendation to U.S. District Judge Arthur J. Schwab.

I hope I get to have a nice day before I go back to work...

I HATE IT when people get special privledges like that, I hate double standards. Esp since your boss is supossed to be setting an example. If you can't bring more than one person, neither should he NOR the other dude. Oh, and I once had a friend who spent (and I'm not kidding) three days in jail for having rolling papers. He had NO weed or anything like that at all in his car. Just papers. He was sober. Honor student, etc. You'd think OH cops had better things to do with their lives.

I think Calr said, "Eh, Wednesday was here last night, she won't come 2 nights in a row."

You sure showed him.

And thanks again. I was totally ready to leave if you'd wanted to. You know that, right? Better know it by now.

Unfair

I agree, this crud is not fair. I assume the guy who brought the multiple friends was A southern boy who can "do no wrong" in the eyes of management.

Wednes wanted to let the projectionist know that she wasn't mad at him, but mad at Carl for letting it happen and for bringing several people himself.

Anyway, it was traumatic, and silly, and ridiculus, and crazy, and awful, and stupid.

Not the fellow I thought it was.

Well, I'm especially mad because the last time someone brought extra people, he and I had a talk about it and he apologized. Now I see that he doesn't really give a rat's ass what I think, and was just humoring me so I wouldn't get upset.

This of course, tweaks my issues about people bullshitting me in the name of nto upsetting crazy, crazy Wednes. So that makes me feel worthless and sad...

No, but I won't be naming any names. I'm not mad at that person though, he's not in charge.

Well, I am more mad about the bullshit apology that preceeded this incident. See above comment made to Annie...if you dare!

but after all that, you were damn sure gonna see that film!
